David A. Harris and C. Peter Molloy

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On this our first of what we hope will be many anniversaries, we simply want to thank you for making the Anglican Planet a reality.  Without you, TAP would have no reason for being.  Your thoughtful letters, your generous contributions, your insightful critiques and your prayers and support are what keep TAP in print.

As we start out this new year please pray that we will continue to be faithful to our calling, that our staff will not burn out, that our finances will keep us in print, and that God, through his mercy, will allow TAP to be the yeast that leavens the whole of the Anglican Church of Canada.

Again, thank you. It has been a privelege and a pleasure serving you this year.

God Bless,

Happy Birthday to you...

Warm congratulations to the Anglican Planet on its first anniversary.  A healthy church needs a free, competitive and intelligent press to inform, challenge and engage its members, to sweep cobwebs and slay sacred cows. The Planet’s young editorial staff and writers are voices from a rising generation of Anglicans. I welcome your contribution to our life together. May God bless you all in your service to Christ and His

                                                  Church.

Many of us receive far too much general mail. For a variety of reasons, some magazines and newspapers are put to one side for quite sometime. However, when TAP arrives at the Church Army Office, dust has no time to collect. Why? - because there is actually good news inside! Just as we can’t wait to open the curtains on a sunny day, TAP brightens our hopes and helps to unite us across the country as ‘we stand firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel’ (Phil.1:27, NIV).  Giving praise to God for the labourers behind this wonderful work.

Bruce Smith National Director, Church Army in Canada

As the Anglican Planet celebrates its first anniversary, let me offer my
congratulations and appreciation for the ministry its staff has provided.
I have been consistently impressed with the quality of reporting and editorial comment which, I believe, is second to none in the world. May
God continue to bless your work in the years ahead.

+William Bishop of Caledonia

Congratulations to the Anglican Planet on its first anniversary. So much has been accomplished. The Planet is both inspirational and informative. The fresh perspective and global insights have awakened
new interest in many readers and parishes.  Best wishes for the future years.

+Ronald Bishop of Algoma

Please allow me the privilege of joining many others in extending congratulations to the Anglican Planet for a very successful first year of publication. The Planet, as it has become known in this area, is well read and I hope well subscribed to. I especially appreciate your willingness to tell the good stories of faith that are out there and I urge you to continue. May God continue to bless your ministry amongst us!

+John Archbishop of Athabasca and Metropolitan of Rupert’s Land

Peter, congratulations on your first year in print. It really is a nice looking
paper. It is a shame that you never exerted this much effort during school, or you might have seen some real success.

Inez Molloy Perth, Ontario

P.S. I do wish you would use a different photo. You would

be so handsome if you would just lose a little weight.

Thanks to all those who sent in emails, letters, and other words of encouragement.  Our apologies for not being able to print all the letters we received.
