Manga Bible

Rowan Williams calls it exciting, and the publishing world is abuzz.

Several graphic novelists have taken on the Bible over the last few years. There was Marked by Steve Ross, which explores St Mark’s Gospel in word and imagery. But the newest graphic Bible is making big waves in the publishing world. The Manga Bible is created by Ajinbayo Akinsiku, who “wants the world to know Jesus Christ, just not the gentle, blue-eyed Christ of old Hollywood movies and illustrated Bibles.”

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, stated recently that the Manga Bible “is an exciting new venture, in completely up-to- the-minute style and speech. It will convey the shock and freshness of the Bible in a unique way.”

Ajinbayo Akinsiku, also known as Miku, is an Anglican Nigerian living in England. He is theologically trained and is hoping to go

into the priesthood. To check out the Manga Bible visit www.themangabible.com
